The Lakland Skyline Hollowbody was inspired by the Lakland hollow body US Series bass designed in collaboration with Master bass builder Michael Tobias. It has an elegant appearance and is a very versatile bass producing a wide array of sounds. This 4 string bass features a 34" scale, two piece body construction and Chi-Sonic pickups. All Skyline basses have pleked frets for smooth easy buzz free play. Upgrades and configuration changes may effect price. The Lakland Skyline Hollow body bass is uses 2 piece body construction with a mahogany back and a carved maple top. They use flat sawn maple for the neck and a rosewood fingerboards. . The resonant voice of the bass' cavity is faithfully reproduced by passive Chi-Sonic Humbuckers. So what about the tone ? The Hollowbody has a firm, punchy attack that is lacking in most hollow basses yet maintains its focus well into sustained notes. Independent control knobs are used for volume and tone but a 3 way switch will let you combine pickups. Lefty friendly, simply flip and restring the bass.
