The Lakland 55-94 US Series bass is an amazing bass. The Lakland 55-94 US Series bass is hand built in the USA by Lakland Luthiers located in Chicago, Illinois. This bass gets great reviews and looks as great as it sounds. There are three versions, the Classic, Standard and Deluxe. All bases share a 35" scale, 22 frets and a quarter sawn Rock Maple neck. The Classic uses an alder body while while the Standard and Deluxe use a swamp ash body. The standard offers a distinctive Quilt Maple top and the Deluxe offers a Flame Maple top. The stock Pickups can be upgraded to the CS (Chi-Sonic) series pickups. Available in both single coil and humbucking configurations. Optional Chi-Sonics are designed for high output with a wide frequency response providing a warm, rounded bottom, detailed mids, and a smooth natural high end tone. Only the Classic offers a pick guard. Also available in a 4 string version (model 44-94). Amber Translucent Standard shown above. A lefty version is available.
